History

 

The company is founded by Carl Jeners as a blacksmith/locksmith shop in Heiligenhaus.

Carl’s son, Walter, takes over the running of the company which now specialises in the production of brass and bronze sand castings.

Paul Jeners joins the family-run business as a toolmaker.The first aluminium/gravity die castings are manufactured allowing a gradual expansion which includes the company’s own fittings series.

The purchase of the first die casting machine leads to a substantially increased degree of automation in production.

Ulrich Jeners joins the commercial/sales department in his father’s company, the beginning of the fourth generation of the Jeners family.Jeners now work almost exclusively as a subcontractor for larger foundries.

Jeners acquire their first direct clients/zinc users in a variety of industry sectors.

The company’s own diemaking department is established and expanded.

Civil engineer Dirk Jeners joins the technical management of the company.Production and administration undergoes an extensive technical and organisational refurbishment programme.

Continuous growth, increasingly stringent QA requirements and more complex products necessitate applying for planning permission for a new foundry in Wülfrath.

Jeners expand their presence throughout Germany with the help of a country-wide network of independent agents.

Work starts on the new Wülfrath foundry site which has a production area of 3,600 sq. m.Production moves from Heiligenhaus to Wülfrath and the company is re-designated as Jeners Druckgusstechnik GmbH.

The Jeners logo, which is still used today, is developed to reinforce the company’s independent presence within the industry.

The Schuka zinc die casting plant in Velbert is acquired and initially managed as a separate entity to Jeners.

Site expansion in Wülfrath includes another 1,500 sq. m.
